RON POULSEN & MAT MAXWELL
PANGÆA bassist Ron Poulsen recently had lessons with Nashville-based bassist Mat Maxwell. Poulsen says, “it’s a pleasure and an honor to have private lessons with Mat. He always has something great for me to practice as well as tips for how I can improve as a bass player.” The two became acquainted after Poulsen attended a Maxwell clinic this past year.
Poulsen, a professional musician who demonstrates we can always learn to improve on our instruments; just as the great cellist Pablo Casals said after being asked why he continues to practice at the age of 80, “Because I think I am making progress.”
